I met Rainbow whilst I was on a day trip to Cambridge. She was sat in a door way just off the Market Place asking passers by for money. I chatted to her for a while before mentioning about the 100 Strangers Project. She told me that she had arrived in Cambridge for the Strawberry Fields Festival and had stayed around afterwards as she liked the “feel” of Cambridge.
Rainbow was happy to chat, and enjoyed telling me just how much she enjoyed the architecture of Cambridge likening it to both York and Bath, as well as my home town of Norwich.
When I asked her if she would take part in 100 Strangers she was reluctant at first. She asked if I could return next week when her black eyes would look better but when I said that I could not do that, she agreed to join in, as long as she could pull her hat down a bit.
