I was drawn to ask Frank to take part by his rather fetching hat. Some people look good in a hat and Frank was one of those people. I’m constantly surprised by just how keen people are to take part in my 100 Strangers and Frank was no exception to this.
Frank told me he was waiting for his friend to arrive. He was sitting on the steps outside Liverpool Street Station in London. I got the impression that Frank didn’t know his friend very well. He had arrived late to meet her and had no way of contacting her, other than scanning the crowds leaving the station and presumably hoping that she was late too!

I met Alexandra on a bench just outside Liverpool Street Station in London. She told me that she had just arrived in the UK, having flown in from her home in Portugal earlier today. She had come to London to visit family and friends who she had not seen for some time.
She seemed very interested in hearing all about my 100 Strangers Project and her face lit up when I asked if she would take part. Hopefully this energy and enthusiasm has come across in her portrait.
