008/100 Josh

100-strangers-8

I found Josh sitting in Chapelfield Gardens in Norwich. He wasn't sure if he wanted to take part in my 100 Strangers Project at first but then decided "that it couldn't hurt". Josh was clearly quite low in mood and didn't want to talk much so after I had my shots I thanked him for his time and wished him well before saying good bye and leaving him with his thoughts.

007/100 Graham

100-strangers-7

I’d been building up to speaking with one of the group of bikers that meet at Norwich market every Sat for a while. But to be honest, they look an intimidating bunch and each time I had tried I'd ended up walking away with out saying hello. Today was different. I singled out Graham becuase of his yellow bandana, walked up to him gave him a card, told him about the 100 Strangers and asked if he would take part.
He could not have been more pleasant and keen to get involved. Lessen learnt. Thanks Graham.

006/100 Ian

Ian was sitting people watching on Gentlemen's Walk in Norwich. He and his wife had travelled over from Suffolk for the day for a bit of shopping. They had separated shortly after they had arrived so that his wife could clothes shop and Ian could "potter about".

005/100 Britney

Britney could not be ignored! Bright red glasses and the most colourful green and yellow dreads. She was extremely enthusiastic at the thought of being included in my 100 Strangers project. She told me that she had just arrived from Canada to take up a place at UEA where she will be reading Museum Studies.

Jo was great fun and definitely pleased to be asked to join in. She told me she was on her way in to the city for an afternoon with mates before carrying on to a house party that the evening.

003/100 Ayolo

Ayolo was busking on Magdalen St in Norwich. As much as I wanted to chat about him he wanted to know about my photography as he was keen himself when not playing. He was particuarly keen to tell me of a shot he had taken of a statue that was covered in pigeon droppings.

Betty

Betty was happy to give her name and have her photo taken but she did not want to engage further in conversation. All that she did say was that she was visiting Norwich for the day with her husband.

001/100 Manda

100-strangers-1

I met Manda as she was sitting listening to one of the christian groups that sing in Norwich on Saturdays. She told me that she was sleeping rough at the moment and that she enjoyed the free entertainment that the singers provided as it helped pass the time.
